My name is Michael, and I’m a 3rd generation fly fisherman living in Minnesota. I’ve fished all over New England and the Midwest for trout, salmon, steelhead, and bass. If there’s water around, I’ll try to find out if there’s fish to be caught. Trout are my favorite quarry, but multiple times per year, I go in search of the Salmon and Steelhead to feel the tug on my 8-weight rod. I am always looking for an opportunity to fish for new species, so keep checking and follow me on my life long journey of fly fishing. You’ll see my adventures with my brother Adam as we try to get tight lines. You might even learn something; I know I certainly will.

Hey Michael Coleman,
I just watched that youtube video titled Vermont Creek from Juy 2, 2020. I just started fly fishing at the beginning of quarantine this spring as school was out and I had free time. I love it. I was just scrolling through youtube Vermont fly fishing videos when I stumbled upon this one. That video was awesome, I didn’t know Vermont held larger trout. Where is that river and what access point did you use?

How did you break away from traditional tackle and get into fly fishing? Just curious 🙂
